Relay IBC Directional Overcurrent Relay
Main Page> Protective Relays> Type IBC Directional Overcurrent Relays
The General Electric Type IBC Directional Overcurrent Relay is used to protect feeder circuits from being overpowered by energy produced generated on the secondary bus.
There are two elements that model these conditoins, first their is a directional unit that combines the forces of flux from the potential circuits along with 90 degree lagging lines from current instrument transformers that force the contact to spin in the direction of the power flow. A second element uses the induction disc technology to create an inverst time charactoristic.
