Data Presentation Work Flow
Whenever you test energy systems to determine their condition a great deal of data is produced. This data must be validated, analyzed and summarized into actionable information if the system owner/operator is going to gain the full benefit of their investment. The following is a workflow detailing how to get the data from the generation source to the final report.
1. Data Gathering Forms must be preprinted with as much detail as to the equipment to be tested as possible and given to the Job superintendant to distribute to the test technicians assigned to the equipment.
2. Data Generation - Test Technicians must fill out test sheets completely yet concisely.
3. Data Entry - Clerical personnel must be able to enter the data into the database accurately, making adjustments to the data when needed to match the format fo the forms.
4. Data Validation - Each datapoint must be validated as correct in the database. Incorrect and missing data must be flagged and corrected as soon as possible.
5. Data Summary - The Data from each device falling outside of acceptable limits must be explained in the remarks section. Once all sheets have been summarized, they must be consolodated on the equipment list and graded based on the following conditions:
6. Executive Summary - The "State of the System" must be summarized within the executive summary leaving a requirement for action on items needing correction.
