Biblical Truth: God made a covenant with Noah to show He would never flood the earth again.
Context: After God destroyed all of humanity—with the exception of Noah and his family on the ark—He blessed Noah and his sons. He blessed them by giving them the responsibility of exercising dominion over all creation. In order to accomplish this task, God gave Noah and his family instructions to repopulate the earth, be good stewards of it, and relate to all its creatures as He commanded. God then established a covenant with Noah—and all living creatures—that He would never again destroy the earth with a flood.
