Proposed Changes to make the Relay Test Sheets Flow Better for testing, calibration, maintenance, Engineering Review and Customer Review.
Add a Units Field to each one of the columns to determine the units of measurement and test conditions used to test the relay. For instance Tap could mean Amps for a overcurrent relay and volts for a undervoltage relay.
Time Dial is a static set point that is relative to the curve so no units are used here.
Instantaneous is normally a Current, but leave this field open to be changed to other units.
Change Time Element to Pickup
Zero Adjust, This is relative to the Time Dial and does not represent units.
Pickup should be changed to a field for Amps, volts, power, degrees, etc.
Timing Points should be changed to Test Results.
Value A could be Amps, volts, power, degrees, etc.
Time A - Should be changed to Result A as it could be Seconds, Amps, volts, power, degrees, etc.
Value B could be Amps, volts, power, degrees, etc.
Time B - Should be changed to Result A as it could be Seconds, Amps, volts, power, degrees, etc.
Target And Seal in is already labeled as Amps but should be opened up so it could be volts or something else.
Instant element is normally Amps but I would leave this open for others.
The Grayed Area below underneath Tap and Time dial on each section could be used for Model number for the specific relay being tested. As replacements are made or Neutral relays are included this could change from relay to relay. A second field should be included for miscelaneous information related to the test. Often the A, B, C, N are meaningless and this could bring meaning to these tests.
