Insulation Power Factor Testing is the application of an Alternating Frequency Voltage to an insulating system then measuring the power loss and capacitance of the insulation system. Different insulating materials respond to alternating voltage and direct voltage differently and through research and experience we have learned acceptable and unacceptable results that aid in conclusions of the overall condition of the insulating system.
