I am writing 4 articles relating to the life of Alexander Angus and his family.
This first article relates the life of Alexander from 1566-1608 with evidence.
The second tells the tale of the entire Angus family from 1528-1608, with evidence.
The third gives a suggested family tree from about 1500 till the baptism of Henry and Mary Angus in 1653 with explanation.
The fourth describes life at Bywell after the Rebellion of 1569 until 1653
There is also a list of references, indicated in each article, by a number in ( )
These articles are the result of information about the Angus family which is mainly contained in a book entitled the History of Northumberland Volume VI by John Crawford Hodgson. The Parish of Bywell St Peter, the Parish of Bywell St Andrew, With Blanchland, the Chapelry or Parish of Slaley. (It is also available as an ebook).
