On the 1871 census she is an infant school teacher in Kendal.
Her first marriage was to JOHN STEPHEN L. DOWNIE in 1880 [Haltwhistle 4Q Vol 10b page 444]. He was born in Scotland.
On the 1881 census they were living in Skelton In Guisbrough, Yk.
JOHN DOWNIE died 1882 aged 30 [Guisbrough 4Q]
FRIEDE then married WILLIAM FOGGO in 1891 Haltwhistle [4Q]. He was born c 1855 Barrington, NBL
On the 1901 census they appear as Friede and Wilham Foggo living in Brereton, Stafford and he is a mechanical engineer
Friede died in 1944 (1Q Northumberland S.) Aged 87
