NORAH FANNY BOWES was born in Newcastle in 1862 ( 1Q).
She married JOHNSTONE WALLACE in Newcastle in 1889 (4Q).
Johnstone was born in Meghara, County Derry, Ireland circa 1862.
During the First World War he acted as the representative between the recruiting committee for the Tyneside Scottish and the War Office. He was Honorary Colonel of the Tyneside Irish Brigade
1913-14 he was the Lord mayor of Newcastle.
He was knighted in 1917.
He died in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1922 (4Q Newcastle), aged 61
Norah died in Newcastle in 1930 (1Q Newcastle), aged 69.
