LESLIE HUGH BOWES was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne on the 13 January 1904 (1Q).

He married EVA BRAITHWAITE in Yorkshire in 1944 (2Q Northallerton). Eva was born in Leeming, Yorkshire on the 10 March 1888. She had previously been married in 1916 to George H. Mason.

Leslie died in Newcastle in the 4Q of 1973, aged 69. Eva died in Newcastle General Hospital on the 11 May 1978, aged 90.

It appears there were no issue to this marriage as Eva was 14 years older than Leslie and 56 at the time of their marriage.
