CALEB ANGAS was born on the 15th of March 1743 in Newcastle. He established a coach building works in Newcastle in 1780. Hill cemetery

He married SARAH LINDSAY, daughter of JOHN LINDSAY of Morpeth on the 13 June 1771 in Morpeth. She was born in 1749, and died on the 27 November 1802, aged 53 in Newcastle, She was buried on the 29 November 1802 at St John, Newcastle. Sarah had previously been married to RALPH JAMESON whom she married at All Saints, Newcastle on the 28 April 1766.

Caleb died in Newcastle on the 14 May 1831, aged 89. He was buried at the Westgate Hill cemetery.

ii. CALEB ANGAS b. 6 April 1778 {recorded Rowley} d. 4 Jun 1803, aged 25. He drowned on a voyage to Central America. bur. M1 Westgate Cemetery.

iii. JOSEPH ANGAS b.1780 bap. 8 Jul 1780, St John's Church, Newcastle d. 2 Nov 1858, aged 78 bur. M1 Westgate Cemetery.

iv. WILLIAM HENRY ANGAS b.1781 bap. 6 Oct 1781 at St John's , Newcastle d.7 Sep 1832, aged 51 bur. M1 Westgate Cemetery.
