FRANCIS JOHN ANGUS was born in England in 1818 , bap. 2 Aug 1818 St Nicholas Parish Rec and Nonconf, Newcastle.

He married 1/ ELIZA WOOD in England on the 19 February 1837. Eliza died in Newcastle in 1844.

Francis married 2/ MARY MARTHA LOW in London in 1846 (3Q).

Martha, daughter of William Low and Elizabeth Wheeler, was born in Newcastle in about 1827.

Francis and Mary emigrated to Australia in 1854 aboard the 'Agra'. They had with them children Eliza (from Francis' first marriage), Martha and son Charles was born aboard the ship. Martha died in South Melbourne, Victoria on the 1 June 1885(6117), aged 58. Francis died at Footscray in 1886 (9190), aged 68.
