In Lesson 2 you commented on each other's profiles and you replied or responded to other's comments on your profile. You had to go back several times to your individual practice webpage to check if someone had commented on your profile. This can be tedious and time-consuming. To avoid this, you can set up an automatic email notification each time someone had posted a comment or reply in your individual practice webpage.
What to do: (May 16-29, 2016)
Go to your webpage and click the "More actions" icon; a drop-down menu will appear (see figure below). Click "Subscribe to page changes." Henceforth, Google Sites will notify you by email whenever any change is made by anyone in your webpage.
Set up an automatic notification also for this page and for the Regional News page so that you will be alerted by email whenever someone makes a comment or posts a news item.
Go to the Regional News page (click HERE). Post at least one recent news or development in your regional center. Use the "New Post" button to create a new page where you can enter the title and body of the news. For uniformity, use Verdana font size 10 and try to post between 200-300 words. Give priority to news about (a) achievements of the center in CBED, (b) researches completed, (c) knowledge products produced, (d) lessons learned from a project, activity or event, or (e) useful CBED tips that other centers may benefit from. Keep in mind that the purpose of this website is cross-regional learning and knowledge sharing. The last three lines of your posting are: (1) written by xxx, (2) posted by yyy or name of content manager, and (3) date. In a later lesson you will learn how to process and add photographs to your news items. As much as possible, the writer or encoder of the news item is the person who is the primary source of the information (no information middleman).
