The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has an allocation of P5 Million per LGU and being handled by a Project Development Officer (PDO) assigned in each area with a total of 32 Cities/Municipalities in Negros Occidental and 26 in Negros Oriental. With P5 Million per year , 65% goes to employment project (e.g. skills training and short term course) and 35% is intended to micro enterprise project of which CBED program of PCC become feasible under the DSWD "Sustainable Livelihood Project" (SLP). A total of 17 PDO's had already signified their interest to the PCC programs through a number of visits/orientations in the Center to study and evaluate what program is fit in their area.
As of now, Cadiz City become pioneer in program implementation in which budget allocation for the purchase of 50 heads Dairy Stocks (BMB's/CB's) to be dispersed in 5 pilot Barangays is already approved and about to release this month. Mr. Michael Anotado, PDO II of Cadiz City utilized his micro enterprise and calamity fund with a total of P5 Million and additional P1 Million from LGU counterpart. Mr. Anotado was convinced that with the full support of the partners involved and better appreciation and empowerment of the recipients which are the 4 P's beneficiaries, the dream of the Government "inclusive growth" can be attained.
