INSTRUCTION:Given the learning objectives and expected output to manage, list down deficiencies and uncertainties in competences as learning issues and decide on a specific learning plan.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

The general objectives of this learning unit are:

1. To make you aware that "How To Study" is a very basic competency required of all physicians.

2. To teach you how to use the "How To Study" framework/foundation.

3. To teach you how to be effective and efficient in learning medicine.

SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After having studied at least the following manuscripts:

1. How to Study (including How to Take Examinations) Framework/Foundation

2. Management Action Plan of a Physician-to-Be

Vision-Mission-Goal (competencies expected of a physician)

Learning strategies/activities/resources

Evaluation

3. Description of educational approaches

Outcome-based learning

Competency-based learning

Community-oriented-based learning

Problem-based learning

After having participated in a seminar-workshop on "How To Study" using primarily a demonstration-return demonstration learning activity, the student must be able to demonstrate skills in:

1. Problem-based learning

2. Small group discussion

4. Independent study

5. Synthesis

6. Organization

7. Giving and receiving feedback

8. Time management

9. Making digital slides for presentation
