teamLab itself is an art collective and as they would title themselves: an interdisciplinary group of ultratechnologists whose collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, design and the natural world. A very mixed group of people form teamLab; artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects.

teamLab holds exhibitions all around the world and their installations are most often big and interactive. They work with sound, images and light to explore the relationship between humans and nature.Their projections move with the viewer and in many cases the viewer is essential for the installation to come to life. A common theme throughout their installations is that everything is connected in nature. No one is isolated.

I had the privilege of visiting teamLab's permanent exhibition in Tokyo a few months ago and spent some hours in awe of the beauty and thoughtfulness of every part of the installation and their message really comes across clearly when interacting with each art piece.
