In Haste

My dear Mother

You will see by my letter to my Father just written that, instead of going to Havana on the way home, this ship is going to turn a regular trader out here. There is therefore I am afraid nothing left for me but to get home as best I can.

As I write in great haste, for the rest, please read my Father’s letter.

Best love to every one – Helen & all. It may not be too long before I see you all again.
