Welcome. I am a Geography / Earth Science teacher at John F. Ross C.V.I. in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. My interests are primarily in Physical Geogaphy and Earth's Systems. I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physical Geography & Earth Science and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) at the Intermediate / Senior Level. In recent years, I have also taken an interest in the role of urban planning / geography and development related to environmental sustainability.

My primary goal and philosophical approach towards environmental education is to enable students to become engaged life-long learners in whatever discipline or career path that they choose.

Please feel free to explore my site and download any resources that wish. For my current students, I hope that you find this site helpful in accessing class resources and materials from my lessons (i.e. handouts, worksheets and videos).

Thank you for visiting!

Top 5 reasons why you should seriously consider taking a Geography course?

1. To learn the location of places and the physical and cultural characteristics of those places in order to function more effectively in our increasingly interdependent world.

2. To understand the geography of past times and how geography has played important roles in the evolution of people, their ideas, places and environments.

3. To explain how the processes of human and physical systems have arranged and sometimes changed the surface of the Earth.

4. To be able to make sensible judgements about matters involving relationships between the physical environment and society.

5. To understand global interdependence and to become a better global citizen.
