Materials: #10 Crochet Cotton .028 oz, Size 7 Steel Crochet hook.

Worked from the top down. Do not ch-1 to begin a new row.

Ch 83 to begin

Row 1 sc in 8^th ch from hook, (ch 3, sk 2 ch, sc in next ch)24x, sc, sk 2 ch, dc in last ch, turn. 26 lps.

Row 2-sc in lp, *ch 3, sc in center of next lp, (3 dc [shell] in next sc, sc in center of next lp)3x, repeat from * across row, ch 1, dc in last lp, turn

Row 3-sc in lp,, *ch 3, sc in center of next shell, (3 dc in next sc, sc in center of next shell)2x, ch 3, sc in center of next lp, ch 3, sc in center of next shell, repeat from * across row, ending with ch 1, sc in last lp, turn.

Row 4-sc in lp, *ch 3, sc in center of next shell, shell in next sc, sc in center of next shell, (ch 3, sc in next lp)2x, repeat from * across row, ending with ch 1, dc in last lp, turn.

Row 5-sc in lp, * ch 3, sc in center of next shell, (ch 3, sc in next lp)3x. Repeat from * across row, ending with ch 1, dc in last lp. This row has 22 lps.d

Row 26-ch 3, sc in next lp. Do not end off

Border round-Work sc over spaces around the shawl, starting up the side. Work 2 sc in each side sp, 7 sc in each corner sp, 3 sc in each sp across the top, ending with 5 sc in bottom point of shawl. Join to first sc of round and end off. Weave in ends.
