CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Great news! Dick has offered some funds to support research efforts in our program. There will be two mechanisms for funding. One is targeted at graduate students and will provide summer support and a small materials budget. The other is for faculty and is intended to support data collection and analysis over the next academic year as a springboard to grant submission. Details follow, but if you have any questions, please let Cary or me know!

EPET GRADUATE STUDENT SUMMER RESEARCH FUNDING

Please submit a one-page description of the proposed research and a materials budget to Ayodele Webb by April 15, 2014. Preference will be given to dissertation or practicum projects, but the funds can also be used for pilot experiments or side projects. Total budgets, including summer support and materials, will be limited to $6500. Research will take place during the summer of 2014. Award recipients will submit a written report at the end of the summer, as well as make a presentation of results at the brownbag.

EPET FACULTY RESEARCH FUNDING

Please submit a 1-2 page description of the proposed research and a budget to Ayodele Webb by April 15, 2014. Funds may be used for materials or personnel (e.g., RA support, hourly employees). The intent is for this research to be a springboard to grant submission, so preference will be given to pilot tests that are clearly leading up to a larger research plan. Total budgets will be limited to $20,000. Research will take place during the summer and AY 2014-15. Award recipients will submit a written report of their efforts and results by May 15, 2014.
