RA for College Women Study 2014

Research Assistant Position Available immediately

In a study of College Women we will be assessing their experiences at the intersection of gender and race insofar as it predicts poor and healthy mental health and academic outcomes. We will be collecting data on more than 500 women at MSU. We need a young scholar that has a range of methodological skills and experience.

Experience: Previous work on research projects, previous experience with analysis of survey data, data management, familiarity with SPSS

Statistical/Methodological Experience: Advanced, General Linear Model, survey research techniques, Use of Qualtrics, SPSS and AMOS (others not required but a plus)

Duties: Preparation of survey instrument for use on Qualtrics, Oversight for the data collection on Qualtrics, oversight over data management, Primary responsibility for analysis of 2 stages of data collection, participation in preparing tables and methods sections for reports and papers.

Position: 25% RA (10 hours per wk) through Spring semester 2014 and possible hour in the summer.
