Adults Returning to Education Study

We are Leslie Armell, Tigi Habtemariam and Emelie Helsen, graduate students pursuing a Masters in Student Affairs Administration at Michigan State University (College of Education). We are working on a project about the stories and experiences of adult students who are completing their undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees.

What are we asking of you?

As part of a project for our College Student Development course we are looking for adult returning students to take part in an interview of maximum one and a half hours long. You will be asked questions about your overall experience as a student, including your motivations to return to education, the admissions process, your transition into student life and your future career plans.

Where and when?

Interviews will take place in a location and at a time that is convenient to you, which can include an online interview via Skype. Interviews must take place before October 16th 2014.

Who is eligible?

Any student over the age of 25 who has returned to education (full time or part time).
