We left Kalahari Rest Camp at 09h30 and arrived in Jwaneng at about 12h00. The campsite in Jwaneng no longer exists. There are no campsite between Kwaneng and Gaberone so we called our friend Elsie and asked if we could stay with her for a couple of nights.
We travelled through the pretty landscape of south eastern Botswana that consists of koppies and mountains via Kanye, Thamaga and Gebane to Gaborone. We stopped along the way for a bush stop. Philip appeared from behind a tree with a chameleon which made Lynne’s day.
It feels good to be only a day’s drive from home.
I spent the time in Gaborone fixing “things” in Elsie’s home. As my mother used to say “I worked for use of teeth” (i.e. I worked and Elsie accommodated and fed us).
