The day’s drive was only 126km so we cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast before setting off for Swakopmund. The gravel road is made from salt and is smooth as tar so we made good progress. We detoured via Henties Bay to enjoy tea and pancakes.
We arrived in Swakopmund and headed to Alte Brucke camp site – Each site has it’s own private bathroom.
There were two priority stops in Swakopmund, firstly Tiger Reef Beach Bar for sundowners and secondly the Pizzeria for long awaited good pizza. For some reason, the Pizzeria is only open after 17h00 each day but the wait is worth it. Both are within walking distance.
