We left Kukonje Island at 07h20 and headed for Nata Lodge.
The first 40 km was gravel road with two dry river bed crossings. The crossings were not as bad as expected and we made good progress.
We arrived at Nata Lodge at 10h00 and headed straight to the bar for cold beer. It was 50C and we were baked.
Nata Lodge has great facilities including swimming pool, bar, shop and restaurant.
The camping grounds are sandy so it was like being at the beach without the sea.
We setup camp and plugged in the electric cable. The extension lead lay in the direct sunlight. After about an hour the extension lead heat sensor overloaded and we lost our power to the fridge & freezer. Philip had to cool the lead down and re-arrange the power cables to avoid direct sunlight.
