Lynne & I have walked around Swakopmund for the past 3 weeks and admired the town. Today, 22nd Nov, we took a leisurely 5.4km walk, with many opportunities to stop for refreshments, to take some photos. Many of the old buildings date back to 1900 to 1910. My photography skills are poor and I cannot get the right angle to do this wonderful town and it’s old buildings justice, but here goes:
The old part of town have very wide roads - To enable Toyota Land Cruisers to turn around without having to do a 5 point turn (actually for Ox Wagons to turn around).
The walk down beach road is lined with Palm Trees where Guinea Fowl forage in the garden:
There is a Flea Market that sells local craft
