On Thursday 20th Nov we decided to redo the Walvis Bay Lagoon trip to Pelican Point. This time we drove to the light house.
At the turn-off to the lighthouse we passed a German couple in a Ford Ranger 4x4 who were struggling in the thick sand. We helped them deflate their vehicle tyres to 1.5 Bar. They drove behind us for the rest of the trip.
We saw plenty of Turns, Flamingo, Seagulls and Seals. On our way back, our German travel companions got stuck in the thick sand. We towed them out and once we got to a decent road surface we pumped up the vehicle tyres using our on-board air pump. Horst invited us out to lunch so we drove to the Walvis Bay Waterfront and enjoyed lunch at the Ocean View Restaurant with our new friends . Thank you Horst for providing an entertaining day.
67km round trip drive to Pelican Point in Land Rover.
