Patricia Halverson, viola da gamba, holds a doctoral degree in Early Music Performance Practice from Stanford University. After completing her graduate work, she studied in the Netherlands with Anneke Pols at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Ms. Halverson is a founding member of the Pittsburgh-based ensemble, Chatham Baroque. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has praised her playing as “invested with feistiness and solidity.” Ms. Halverson teaches viola da gamba privately in the Pittsburgh region and has taught at summer workshops and festivals including the Madison Early Music Festival, the Mideast Workshop, the Viola da Gamba Society’s Summer Conclave and Baekeland Camp in the Adirondack Mountains.
