Daina Michelle Griffith is originally from Southern Ohio but found herself-moving to Pittsburgh in the fall or 99' to attend college at Point Park Conservatory of the Arts.
There she received her BFA in Theatre. During her time in school, she joined 2 actors unions (Actor's Equity & AFTRA) and worked in every profession theatre in Pittsburgh.
After graduation she moved to New York City, but she spent more time out of the city at regional theatres than she did in her tiny studio apartment in Hell's Kitchen. After
booking 2 jobs in a row in Pittsburgh, she decided to make Pittsburgh her permanent home. Recently she has been seen in Cabaret, Broadway, Amadeus, and Metamorphoses
(Pittsburgh Public), Speak American (City Theatre), Death of a Salesman and Eastburn Avenue (Playhouse REP) and in Dayton, Ohio in The Trimble Wars (Human Race Theatre).
Television: Guiding Light (CBS), Munhall (pilot). She also works frequently in regional commercials (radio & television) and in print and teaches musical theatre at the CLO Academy.
At the beginning of this year she was thrilled to be named one of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette's Performers to Watch in 2009. Up next: A Musical Christmas Carol (PCLO) and
Beautiful Dreamers (PICT).
