Deanna Ferrari joined the WordWrite team as an account executive in June 2009. At WordWrite, Deanna is a key team member responsible for day-to-day media relations, writing and account management for several clients. She also supervises WordWrite's internship program and is the agency's resident social media guru. Previously, Deanna was an assistant account executive at MARC USA in Pittsburgh, where she supported several national consumer accounts and contributed to the implementation of the agency’s first social media initiative for a client. In addition to her role at WordWrite and her enthusiasm for social media, Deanna is active in professional associations and is currently a board member of the Pittsburgh chapter of Public Relations Society of America, serving as Speakers Series chair, responsible for identifying and arranging major speakers for the chapter's professional development events. Deanna has also supported publicity efforts for the Renaissance Awards, the chapter's premier annual awards honoring distinguished work in public relations. Deanna graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2006. While at Slippery Rock, she was a Dean’s List student and served as editor in chief of the communication department newsletter.
