Jonathan brings extensive experience with facility planning and design leadership for a diverse range of client types to his role as Project Architect. His experience spans the cultural/civic, transportation, education and corporate markets. Jonathan possesses a unique combination of artistic talent and construction knowledge that enables him to successfully balance cost, energy and project design objectives. He coordinates and collaborates with all project team members to ensure a cohesive design as well as thoughtful incorporation of a client’s standards and processes. His primary responsibility is to ensure that project design goals are maintained throughout the life of a project.
Jonathan began his professional architectural career in San Diego with Steven Lombardi Architect, and then returned to his native Pittsburgh to join EDGE Studio. This year he joined Astorino where he has helped to influence the design of such notable projects as Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School, a new PNC Park Suite Club, and future renovations to the Kennametal Headquarters.
He currently serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture.
Jonathan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, then went on to receive his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto, receiving the RAIC Honour Roll, an award given to the top four students in each graduating class.
