Writing Rubrics
The town where I live is called Croton-on-Hudson, it is in the northwest of NYC. It is in the suburb, not too far from NYC. You can take a train, it takes about one hour. In my town, there is a very big train station, next to the river. It has express trains to NYC city center. In the town center, there is a big street, is very close to my school, we can walk there. My friends and I often buy lunch there. The police station and a courthouse are inside of the town hall. Next to the Black Cow Café is a fast food store. Many high school students go there to meet and chat. sometimes do homework together there. There is a very famous bakery not too far from the town center. A French restaurant is to the right of a church. A pharmacy is across the street from a clothing store. Near the bus stop, there is an ice cream shop named Blue Pig. Diagonally from a post office, there is a small supermarket. Near the highway, there are two gas stations. Because the town is a very small place, therefore, we do not have a very big shopping mall, or zoo, or amusement park, no art museum either. It is often very quiet, not noisy at all. However, we have many doctors’ offices, three schools, four parks, two very big supermarkets, and many hair and nail salons. Although my town is boring sometimes, there is nothing to do, not as hustling bustling as NYC, but I love still my town.
