(2) Issues During the Council

(Page in preparation)

Since the closing of the Second Vatican Council, there has been an endless war of words over its correct implementation. Some loyal souls, out of an apparent desire to be faithful to the Church, either deny that there is currently a crisis in the Church, or else attribute all the confusion to an incorrect implementation of the Council Decrees, denying that the documents themselves are in any way at fault or to blame. Some even go so far as to claim that there was a similar period of uncertainty after every Ecumenical Council, which is entirely false to history.

The major issues that surfaced during the Council were:

§ The tension between a 'dogmatic' and a 'pastoral' council

§ The issue of Collegiality

§ Religious tolerance vs Religious Liberty

§ Ecumenism

§ Modernism

§ The Liturgy

§ Marxist Communism
