Why Google Calendar?

You may have any number of reasons to share a calendar with your fellow collaborators depending upon your level of cooperation. Some uses include:

• Tracking meeting times
• Ensuring major exams/due dates line up
• Posting day-by-day assignments, homework, etc

Some of Google Calendars robust features include the ability to:

• Make multiple calendars in a single Google Account - I personally have a Google Calendar for my appointments, one for my wife and kids, another for my World History classes, etc.
• Embed a calendar in Google Sites or other web site.
• Share calendars with others.
• Collectively maintain a calendar with others.
• Keep the calendar public or private
• Subscribe to other people's events and/or calendars as a whole

Think of the Potential...

If every teacher at your school did there schedule on Google Calendar, parents and students could subscribe to each class calendar. Wouldn't that be a great service for your students?
