Google Drive - Cloud Storage Maximized
Before Summer 2012, when you said Google Docs, you meant everything related to the whole suite of tools, including file management. While file management has not changed much since then, we now call it Google Drive.
Here are some of the key features of Google Drive:
- Allows you to organize all of your Google Docs.
- It also lets you upload, view, and share non-Google files, including Word, PowerPoint, PDFs, Photoshop, etc.
- From Drive, you can share individual files OR entire folders with individuals, groups, or the world.
- Can't find it a file? No worries, do a search. Or an advanced search.
Uses
- Create folders for each school committee. Add minutes, resources, etc. Share with the members of that committee. (Department Chair Minutes)
- Put forms, important info, etc. in a folder and link it to your school website.
- Upload the Daily Bulletin to a Folder and link it your website. (Example)
