Softball: Season in Review
This year's softball season was amazing in all aspects. The team was composed of amazing people, who all love the game, you could tell by the way they all played this season. The Lady Huskies were extremely successful coming out of this season with a record of 13-5 (not including tournaments). The Lady Huskies only lost to West Jefferson and then Bear Lake in the State Play-in game.
Our coaches are truly amazing and we made it this far with our coaches. They truly inspired us all to play our hardest and leave everything on the field. The entire softball team got along really well with each other which definitely played a role in how they played. As a softball player myself, I know that it really helps to have people on your team who are all fantastic people and you can get along with them easily. Our seniors were huge role models to all the players this season and will be greatly missed.
The Lady Huskies fought long and hard in districts losing only to West Jefferson and went on to play against Bearlake for the State Play-in game in Blackfoot Idaho. The Lady Huskies lost to Bear Lake 4-5. It was a heartbreaking defeat for the Lady Huskies as well as the fans that had supported them all season long and were cheering them on from the start. We love our fans who cheer us on all season long and want to give special thanks to them. We truly couldn't have made it as far as we did without our fans.
In conclusion, I believe our softball team will go on to win districts and even state in the future. Our Seniors will be missed greatly, but I believe they will also go on to bigger and better things. So good luck to our seniors in their lives after High School and always remember it was an honor for all of us to play alongside you. You guys were ultimately some of the greatest role models for all of our freshmen this year. I know you guys will go on to become great people, good luck and you will be missed.
