Honesty is the best policy when it comes to almost everything, lying only gets you so far before you get caught. You should never lie especially in sports or extracurricular activities because they are very important at North Fremont High School because almost everyone does one.
Even cheating in practice when you are running drills can ruin the drill for you or even your teammates. Such as in practice, when you are supposed to be on defense but you already know the play and steal the ball every time, it is not fair to your teammates that are trying to run the drill and learn it but you keep ruining it for them.
An example of cheating and getting caught is one time a track kid lied about their lap time to the coaches about their lap time so they could go to the next big track meet. The coaches let them come but they double-checked their lap time and they found out that they had actually lied about their time and they could no longer run for that meet. Even the little things like cheating out on a workout by not doing the whole thing and only doing half or so of the workout.
You are only cheating yourself and no one else, and you will most likely regret it in the future when you have a game and everyone is in shape and you are exhausted and tired.
