New Teachers
By: Jorden Moser
This year at North Fremont we welcome six new teachers. Ms. Davis (Jasper Davis), Mr. Durfee (Steven Durfee), Mr. Caze (Joseph Kaze), Ms. Peterson (Audrey Peterson), Ms. Wilder (Tracy Wilder), and Mr. Zarpentine (Jacob Zarpentine).
Ms. Davis teaches math, Mr. Durfee teaches Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior English. Mr. Kaze teaches Spanish 1,2 and 3. Ms. Peterson teaches Science. Ms. Wilder teaches middle school English classes which include 6th-8th grade. Mr. Zarpentine is our new college and career counselor for our district.
I sent out a survey to all six of these teachers just to get to know them a little bit better. Mr. Durfee stated that he has been teaching for four years and he chose North Fremont because we are “number 1, number 1, number, number, number 1!” Mr. Kaze, who teaches Spanish, shared that this is his first year teaching and that he has not been disappointed working here, “Don't let my sarcasm fool you, I am actually nice” he states. Mrs. Peterson says that this is also her first year teaching and that she is glad to be a part of our school! Our second-to-last teacher is Ms. Wilder; she teaches middle school English, and she loves that she gets to teach her favorite age group! Our last teacher is Mrs. Davis, who stated that this is her first year teaching in Idaho!
As you can see, all of our new teachers this year are very excited to be here at North Fremont! I can say that we are all very grateful to have them here with us! Getting to know our teachers is important so we can enjoy our time here at NFHS and get the best of our learning experience.
