Generations of Volleyball
Generations of Volleyball

North Fremont High School's very first school was built in 1906. It accommodated grades 1-12 in one building. Over the years the school district decided they needed a new school. The most recent one was built in 2004. This one holds grades 6-12. Just like any other school, we have sports, and one of those is volleyball. Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan. I recently went to the town library where I looked at our past school yearbooks. I went all the way from 1976, to 1988. I went as far back as I could until I found the page of the volleyball team. This team had 8 girls total, plus the coach. Sadly, in 1977 there was no volleyball team, but in 1978 there was and every year after that as long as they had enough players. It is crazy to think that 1976 was 45 years ago which would make the girls from the 1976 team almost 60. We are very grateful for today where the volleyball journey has continued and our current and previous teams have played very well throughout each season.
