I have a unique experience compared to most teachers at Clairemont High. That is because I attended Clairemont High School back in my day! Once I graduated from Clairemont High, I attended UC Davis and got my BA in Exercise Biology. I was a student- athlete for the D1 Aggies in Cross Country and Track & Field. I also participated in the USAT Collegiate National Championships in Triathlon for the Aggies. I picked up valuable experience being a US Forest Service Firefighter as well as being a Physical Therapist Assistant during my time at Davis. When I returned to San Diego, I earned my MA in Teaching and started coaching Cross Country and Track & Field at the High School level. I have been coaching for 7 years and during that time students have broken 30 school records under my guidance. Besides the coaching side of my life, I still enjoying training for triathlons. Something about going on a swim or bike ride appeals to me more than going on a run. However, I still go out and run when I get the urge too. I enjoy relaxing with my 2 dogs and the wife when I have down time. If I am not in my classroom, you can find me coaching the Chieftains either in Cross Country or Track & Field.
