Jeanne Cantwell

I moved to San Diego this summer from the sunny state of Ohio :) So, you’ll have to forgive some of my midwest tendencies like constantly saying, “ope let me squeeze by ya”! I studied journalism at Ohio University and received a Master’s of Education from The Ohio State University. Before getting back to the classroom, I worked for a few years in qualitative market research for an agency in Chicago, IL.

I decided to return to school and pursue a master’s degree because I wanted to finally achieve my dream of being an educator. My career in marketing was fascinating and full of exciting challenges to solve, but I couldn’t ignore the pull I felt towards teaching.

I’m excited to be joining the Clairemont family in the Academy of Business where I'll teach Freshmen Foundations and Career Pathway Internships. I can't wait to be the new kid right alongside my freshmen, and learn from my seniors what makes Clairemont High School such a special place!
