Christie Maynard

My name is Christie Maynard and I am so excited to be your student’s teacher! It is going to be a great year! 9th grade is a fun year full of growth both academically and socially. I cannot wait to get started with this new group of wonderful kids!

A little about me, this is my 21st year teaching at Clairemont High. I love teaching here! My favorite part of teaching is building relationships with students and building a community of lifelong science learners. I grew up in Capitola and moved here to go to college at UCSD and never left. My family includes my husband, Brent, daughter, Malia (14), and son, Evan (13). Outside of school, I love to jog and hike. My favorite place to hike is above Discovery Lake in San Marcos.
