Project Synopsis
For me this project was a massive step, i had hoped to create music that was suitable for all ages and walks of life whilst remaining emotionally true to my drive as an artist.
I believe i really succeeded here fusing Singer/Songwriter mentality with the roots of Melodic Techno as my genre of choice!
The result is quite beautiful, a mixture of light and dark!
The first track i have for you to listen to today is titled "Timeless" & the other is "Eureka"
i have used quite alot of sounds recorded in nature & of devices we are continually surrounded by in hopes of triggering emotional responses far more relatable to society as a whole.
I was inspired by artists like Monolink & Artbat who really bring all of the feelings one has inside to the forefront every time they're heard..
Some of the most emotionally captivating instruments on the planet are Piano and Violin so i thought best to bring them into this production.
Big Vocals,Beautiful Instruments, And Heavy Basslines... Welcome to my vision.
Process
I really wanted to find space in the industry "What people were craving, but there isn't enough artists to fill the void" Whilst engaging on a global scale to really send a message to the masses...
That was a large part of the vision, The process was far more hands on i sifted through melodys and chords on my piano and further more made choices along the way of what to bring to the listener.. below i've documented 2 of the bigger decisions for me in the production stages where i made all the sounds you hear in each track become one electric journey.
The violin was a massive sucess but i think the most influential piece of audio in these productions is the most subliminal, often we use white noise "Like the sound your tv makes when it's unhappy" In a suttle way to fill the audible space inside a piece of music..
Now i chose to do this with something more organic and with a whole lot of intention
Sync Project
Below we have 2 pieces from an earlyer project we undertook, the aim was to creat pieces of audio which were viable to cut up and use in movies & videogames... Really anything that required Sync Style production which is essentially where audio is found for video and the 2 are melded together.
I hoped to introdue elements from a daily lives and paint a picture with the story they tell coupled with beautiful sometimes dark melodic progression, We also were tasked with creating a SYNC Library which is essentially pieces of Audio ready for SYNC Style Production
Reflection
This Trimester was massive for me we went from Music Theory to Sync Style Production all the way to the wonderful world of mixing our own Genre Specific tracks for the world to listen to..
The biggest takeaways for me were being confident in my ear and certain workflows which achieve the best possible audible outcome, i feel like the transferable skills from working in the realms of sync are also quite a big asset as now i can monetize my sound in another facet of the industry whilst maybe even moving into work with film companys or get hired by a video game franchise to create content for there upcoming releases the possibilities are endless..
I'm now ready to release my art to the world and after this trimester i know exactly how to do it whilst making all the right steps along the way to be industry applicable and so that the audience are able to engage with professional quality content.
I could go on but i feel i have said enough for now, couldn't be prouder of where i have made it to as an artists and the growth in this trimester alone has been expedential.
