Training is primarily focused on reaching the first two levels of Bloom’s taxonomy — remembering and understanding — for knowledge and skill and to begin transitioning Partners’ mindsets. The Data Collaborative Team uses Training as a platform to introduce new core concepts — represented in the front-end facing model manual — to Data Collaborative Partners. These core concepts are introduced and explained to Partners during Training sessions. In addition, Training sessions are used as a vehicle to build the Data Collaborative community and identity. It is an opportunity for Partners to interact, share lessons learned and highlight the value the Data Collaborative project creates with one another. We understand that Training sessions are not the last step in building the necessary capacity and culture for the community but we see it as the catalyst.

Training includes three (3) different categories:

1. All Tracks: Focused on building the community, mindsets and onboarding of new tools.
2. Content Workshops: Focuses on building the Knowledge and Skills on the four pillars of the Data Collaborative.
3. Frontline Staff: Focuses on building frontline staff capacity on practices identified in the Evidence-Based Practice 2.0 pillar.
