What: A bidirectional experience where we provide advice, encouragement and support on key components of the model, key skills for Partners to master, and six routines. Partners proactively share their challenges, successes, learnings, and ultimately have agency in how their time in coaching sessions is spent. Coaching builds momentum off of training by reinforcing what was taught in workshops. Coaching preparation begins with pre-coaching actions, coaches actively facilitate during the coaching session, and we follow-up on next actions during post-coaching. Process outlined below.
When: Occurs monthly, except for December and July.
Where/How: Partner site, RC office, or rented space.
Why: Training without coaching is insufficient to produce actual changes in behavior.
Who: 3+ representatives at the partner organization, DC Team coaches (up to 4); could also include group coaching.
The slide deck (found here) represents the Coaching User Experience Map that the Data Collaborative Team used throughout Year 3. The map was created in the beginning of Fall 2020. The map includes both pre-, during and post- coaching sessions. You will be able to identify which phase you are viewing by looking at the What are you designing section in the deck. In addition, the document includes two States for the purpose. The States include:
Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RACI)
The acronym stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed. This section reflects ownership and role for individual team members in Coaching. This is a breakdown of how the work is distributed in the team.
The work has a lot of moving parts; the Data Collaborative has processes in place to make sure that everything is accounted for and done in a timely manner. This section is where we store the repetitive processes that we have refined for this body of work.
Each body of work has had documents and tools built for the success of it. Here you will find ready to use resources that help support the facilitation of Capacity Building.
