The Impact track in the Data Collaborative was to ensure that the work had the appropriate approval, support and buy-in to be successful. While the level of involvement for the impact role varied in organizations, the critical part of this role was to make sure that the work was accepted, supported and advocated throughout the organization.
In flat organizations, the Impact role was integral in connecting the right people and resources to the project. In more hierarchical organizations the involvement of the senior leaders was critical to make sure that the strategies being created, tweaked or removed in participating in the Data Collaborative were allowed and promoted throughout the organization.
Below you will find selection criteria that we used to help us define and communicate which staff members within the different organizations would be appropriate for the Data for Impact track within the Data Collaborative. These are supposed to be considered, and used, as suggestions and not absolutes.
