Have you ever watched the movies Finding Nemo and Finding Dory? Fun fact, my nickname is Nemo. These two amazing movies are sometimes overlooked but also adored by others. These amazing movies are both rated G and are great movies to watch for all ages. “Breathtakingly, lovely, and grounded by the stellar efforts of a well-chosen cast, Finding Nemo adds another beautifully crafted gem to Pixar's crown,” states critics from Rotten Tomatoes.
Finding Nemo is some people's favorite movie of all time. This movie is filled with action, adventure, and emotional moments. This movie occurs in the South Pacific Ocean and later comes to Sydney Harbor. If you like fish, then this is the movie for you. Finding Nemo is about a young clownfish who gets lost in the ocean, and has to make his way back to his dad. This movie is followed by Finding Dory, which has the same theme.
Finding Dory is a little bit like Finding Nemo. Finding Dory is about a middle-aged Paracanthurus hepatus or also known as a Blue Tang. Fun fact, Dory was originally supposed to be a male, but when the director Andrew Santon saw Ellen DeGeneres perform and immediately decided that Ellen would be a great fit for a great change for Dory. Later, Andrew Santon (Director) says, “There’s a symbiotic relationship between her and that character that no other Pixar character has.”
These two movies have many differences, but first, let's recognize the similarities. Finding Nemo is similar to Finding Dory because they are both about a fish that both lose their parents, whether by death or natural phenomena. Then, they both strive to find their way back home or to find their family. Following this, the two fish find new friends, and those friends help them get back home safely. These movies are both fascinating.
These movies also have many differences. First, the two movies both take place near the end of the movie. In Finding Dory, later in the movie, when she goes to land, it takes place in Morro Bay. In Finding Nemo, it takes place in Sydney Harbor. Also, in Finding Dory, there is a giant squid who is the main antagonist for fish. But in Finding Nemo, there is a Great white shark as the main antagonist for the fish.
These two movies are amazing and a great fit for a family movie night. If you ever want to know more about Finding Nemo or Finding Dory, just look up yardbarker.com and abc7news.com. These movies are exciting, interesting, and creative, and I hope that this article is too.
