Saint Luca’s Hospital and “Campo di Marte”

In the city of Lucca there are both the Citadel of Health and Saint Luca’s Hospital. In the former the old hospital “Campo di Marte” was once located, an area of about 20 thousand square meters wide. Saint Luca’s hospital is located in Guglielmo Lippi Francesconi Street, in San Filippo area. It consists of 13 hospitals that differ in size, catchment area and technological equipment. The structure represents the reference point in the surrounding area, because not only does it provide the basic services for the resident population, but it also ensures highly specialized services to the population of northwest Tuscany and for regional and extra-regional users.
