Comic strip 2

Lorenzo: Teacher, in front of the Giglio theatre there are some soldiers of our army.

Pertini: It's true! Maybe an important event is taking place!!!

Comic strip 3

Eleonora: When I grow up I want to join the army, too to defend the citizens of our country. Although I have to confess that war scares me a little.

Pertini: It's nice that you want to join the army to defend the Italian people, but you must know that, luckily, as Article 11 of the Constitution states, Italy repudiates war as an instrument of offence against the freedom of other people.

Art. 11 Cost.

Italy rejects war as an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means for the settlement of international disputes. Italy agrees, on conditions of equality with other States, to the limitations of sovereignty that may be necessary to a world order ensuring peace and justice among the Nations. Italy promotes and encourages international organisations furthering such ends.
