Finding a Therapist

  1. Student Health and Counseling (SHAC):

  • Polyvagal Workshop: “A Trauma-Informed Neurophysiological Approach to More Effectively Cope with Anxiety, Depression, and other Emotions” Mondays from 5 pm - 7 pm.

  • International Student Drop-In Support Group: Every Other Wednesday 1030 am -12pm.

  • Brainstorm Workshops (support w/things like focus and attention, time management, organization, etc.) Tuesdays 4 pm - 5 pm.

  1. PSU Community Counseling Clinic:

  • Low Cost ($15 per session) individual, relationship, and family counseling.

  1. Lewis and Clark College Community Counseling Clinic:

  • Low Cost ($15 intake, sliding scale $5-$75 per session) individual, relationship, and family counseling

  • This is an organization created by a professor in the MSW program & their agency has several student interns there as well as licensed social workers.

  • Sliding scale rates starting at $10/session (they don’t take insurance).

  • Individual and group therapy practice specializing in somatic (body-centered), EMDR, creative arts therapy and more.


  1. Portland Therapy Project

  • Queer-owned & focused on serving underserved populations.

  • They specifically accept OHP insurance which usually covers 100%.
