Communication Requirements
Reply to emails, invitations, and event announcements (e.g., RSVP) from EXITO staff within two business days, based on the time of email delivery and in accordance with the Portland State University calendar
Seek help by notifying EXITO faculty/staff promptly when any challenges arise which may compromise EXITO commitments
Complete all documentation requests by EXITO faculty/staff
Notify staff and faculty if you will be late or need to miss a scheduled meeting before the meeting is scheduled (except for emergencies)
Check the EXITO Google Site for required tasks, upcoming events, important communications, and other program information.
Enrichment
Attend/make up 4 sessions each term
Mentoring
Initiate & meet with your career mentor 1 time per month.
Submit mentoring log every 2 months
Research Learning Communities (RLCs)
Summer 2023 Required Hours: 250
Academic Year Required Hours: 100/term
RLC Agreement
Trainees are required to submit an RLC Agreement each term. The agreement will require you and your RLC to have a conversation & plan for the term. Required Sections
Update your work schedule
Project name each term
Sign the agreement (RLC Signature is required and you will be responsible for collecting it)
Academic/Enrollment
GPA: Term GPA of 2.5+. / Cumulative GPA of 2.5+
Enrollment: 12+ Credits at PSU
Biomedical Major - Must keep biomedical major to be involved in EXITO. See the list here.

Quarterly Progress Report: 1 Per term

Log hours on BanWeb Timesheets, due 15th of each month
Balance off-campus and on-campus employment duties in order to prioritize EXITO
Carry reasonable course loads that prioritize academics and research training
Strive to be an ambassador of EXITO
Maintain scientific integrity
Adhere to the PSU Student Code of Conduct
